Company Goals

Looking for a Company Goals Template?

Most teams look for a company goals template to write the year down: a few company-level goals, the teams that carry them, and a number that says whether you got there.

The list is easy. Keeping it connected to what each team is doing is the part a spreadsheet can’t hold. Zentrix OS cascades every company goal to the teams below it, with an owner and live progress on each one.

A list vs. a cascade

Why a list of goals goes quiet

Writing the goals down is the easy half. Making every team’s work ladder up to them is where a template runs out.

Goals spreadsheet
  • A flat list with no structure
  • No link between company and team goals
  • Progress updated once a quarter
  • Owners implied, not assigned
  • Invisible to most of the company
Zentrix OS
  • Company goals that cascade to teams
  • An owner and a target on every goal
  • Live progress on each one
  • On-track and at-risk status at a glance
  • Visible to everyone, not just leadership
  • Reviewed on your weekly rhythm
From the company down

Goals that reach every team

The structure a goals template gives you, connected all the way from the company number down to the team doing the work.

Company goals

The handful of numbers that define the year, at the top of the tree.

Team goals that cascade

Each team’s goals attach to the company goal they move.

Clear owners

One name on each goal, at every level of the cascade.

Live progress

Percent complete that updates as the work happens.

On-track status

Green, at risk or off track, so misses surface early.

Visible to everyone

Every person can see the company goals and where their team fits.

How it works

Set the year in one sitting

No spreadsheet to maintain, no quarterly scramble for status. Three steps to goals that stay alive.

1

Write the company goals

A few goals for the year, each with a number that says whether you hit it.

2

Cascade them to teams

Attach each team’s goals to the company goal it moves, with an owner on each.

3

Track progress every week

Progress updates as the work happens and gets reviewed on your normal rhythm.

Why it works

Everyone pulling in the same direction

When goals cascade and stay visible, alignment stops being a slide and starts being how work gets picked.

Keep every goal in one place
Connect team work to company goals
Give each goal an owner and a target
See progress without chasing updates
Spot at-risk goals early
Make the year visible to everyone
Questions & answers

Goals, spreadsheets & Zentrix OS

What is a Company Goals Template?
A company goals template is a simple layout for writing down the year: each goal, its owner, the target number and where it stands. It’s a useful way to get agreement. What it can’t do is connect those goals to what each team is working on week to week.
Can I use Zentrix instead of a goals spreadsheet?
Yes. Zentrix OS holds the same structure as a live cascade, where company goals link to team goals, each has an owner and a target, and progress updates as the work moves.
What does cascading goals actually mean?
Each team goal attaches to the company goal it’s meant to move. You can look at a company number and see exactly which teams are driving it, and look at a team goal and see why it matters.
How is progress tracked?
Each goal carries a target and current value, so progress is a percentage rather than an opinion, and the status turns to at risk or off track on its own.
Who can see the goals?
Everyone in the company, unless you restrict a goal. Most teams find the visibility is the point: people pick better work when they can see the year.
